A Hawaii native, Dave's educational journey began at Mililani High School, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a psychiatry specialization from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
With a rich background in treating psychiatric disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Dave has made significant contributions to mental health care. Notably, he was the first provider to implement an Assisted Community Treatment order on the island of Maui, a pioneering step in community-based mental health care and a testament to his commitment to innovative approaches in the field.
